The woman who made this and the other Jalieza bags in this collection began learning to weave on a backstrap loom when she was six. She is now 66, and a true master of her craft. She taught her daughters and their daughters to weave. Her work is extraordinary. She is really sweet, and it was so serene to just sit and talk with her for a while as she worked. I attached a video of her working because it’s better just to see it for yourself than listen to me try to explain it here.

This bag pairs really well with its sister bag, which differs slightly in size and design details. The colors are beige, forest green, lavender, yellow and sienna. I imagined this to be a great cosmetic case, but it could also be used as a clutch. They are soft, and can easily be folded.
